The... Gatzolaki welcomes us again this year at ;25th Panhellenic Amateur Theater Festival of Nea Orestiada in a nine-day event full of emotions. From the 30th of August until the 7th of September, Nea Michaniona of Halkidiki, Veria, Sperchiada-Makrakomi, Giannena, Thermaikos of Thessaloniki and Aegaleo of Attica, meet in the biggest celebration of amateur theater in the country, in Nea Orestiada .

They say that the beginning is half of everything. And how can your final destination not be glory when the very starting point of your life is Glory? With great joy and honor, we welcome this year to the 25th Panhellenic Festival of Amateur Theater of Nea Orestiada Evritissa - from Doxa Didymoteicho - Karyofyllia Karabeti, our own Karyofyllia Karabeti, the Karyofyllia Karabeti of all Greece. During the official opening ceremony, on Saturday August 31, the Honorary Tribute will be held to the artistic value of the leading actress who is honored for her entire artistic work and her generally multiple contribution to Theatre, Cinema, Television, Acting Art. Immediately afterwards will follow the two-hour musical performance "Our poets sing", with her and the great singer Manolis Mitsias who is honoring the Festival with his presence.
The Jury stands out again this year – presented by Alexis Costalas
The Jury Committee of the Festival this year is, as always, personalities with deep knowledge of theatrical art but also with a special love for amateur creation, ensuring the impartial and meritorious process of the competitive part. This year the Committee consists of (alphabetically): Chrysa Daponte (set designer, costume designer), Antonis Theodorakopoulos (actor), Vasilis Katsikonouris (playwright), Ioannis Margaronis (choreographer), Zoi Rigopoulou (actor). Since 2004, the Festival has continuously presented the excellent Alexis Kostala.

OPENING CEREMONY – Tribute to Karyofyllia Karabeti > – Musical Performance, Anthology of Greek poetry set to music: “Our poets sing” with Manolis Mitsias and Kariophyllia Karabetis who tour the magical world of Greek poetry with a program that includes works by great Greek poets and lyricists, set to music by the composers Mikis Theodorakis, Manos Hatzidakis, Stavros Xarchakos, Dimos Moutsis, Ilias Andriopoulos, Thanos Mikroutsikos, Christos Leontis and Yiannis Spanos. They are set to music: Konstantinos Kavafis, Kostas Varnalis, Giorgos Seferis, Odysseas Elytis, Yiannis Ritsos, Tasos Livaditis, Manolis Anagnostakis, Nikos Kavadias, Nikos Gatsos, etc.
